Global Health Partnership Development Program

About the Program

We serve as ambassadors to foster a vital global health partnership between healthcare institutions in Ethiopia and the United States. This initiative signifies the power of collaboration, transcending borders and harnessing collective expertise to advance healthcare delivery, research, training  and capacity building. By bridging the gap between these two nations, we aim to enhance healthcare infrastructure, share knowledge, and promote innovative solutions that will benefit both Ethiopian communities and communities globally. Our mission is not just about building partnerships; it's about strengthening the bonds of compassion and solidarity with a vision of a healthier and more equitable world. Together, we will work tirelessly to ensure that healthcare knows no boundaries, and that health and well-being are universal aspirations.

Improving health care access among the underserved

With the objective of improving healthcare access to the underserved, we discussed  the need to organize a sustainable  volunteer based  free community clinic in Ambo, Ethiopia.

All relevant stakeholders agreed to:

  1.  Organize a transdisciplinary team to serve as a working group
  2. Develop document to start and maintain a community free clinic
  3. To share the news and build  consensus among relevant stakeholders

Focus of the Capacity Building Program

The capacity building program is implemented by  enhancing collaborative partnership between teaching institutions in the United States and in Africa. The focus of the program include:

  • Training, mentorship, and access to the latest medical advancements.
  • Helping healthcare workers stay up-to-date and deliver high-quality care to their communities.
  • Promoting collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the cultivation of a diverse pool of skilled professionals who can contribute to global health efforts.
  • Organizing donations for medical equipment and supply
  • Organizing international  medical missions with volunteer professionals
